February Updates & News!
This past month brought some exciting updates that I’d love to share with you.
🎬 Fill Mode on Clips
We’ve made a few key updates to Clipping that make the repurposing process even more seamless.
One of the biggest additions is Fill Mode, which automatically fills the video display in vertical and square formats. This makes it easier to create native-looking social videos with just one click.
💖 AI Clip Idea Generation
Sometimes you know which parts of a video you’d like to clip but don’t want to go through the hassle of finding where in the video those clips lie. That’s where the Clip Idea generator comes in super handy!
An example of a way I’ve been using this specific feature is if I know there are, for example, 4 specific methods outlined in a video, then I ask Outcast to pull clips where each of those 4 methods is initially mentioned so I can clip them for Twitter threads where I’ll go in-depth on them.
♻ AI Editor Versioning is Here!
As you make changes in the text editor, Outcast now tracks these changes so you can go back to previous versions and compare/revert as needed.
💬 Chatbots are now Multi-Chat
We’ve noticed that many users were using the chatbots feature within Outcast to have conversations with all of their uploads at once rather than creating chatbots to directly embed on their own websites.
The new multi-chat feature:
With this newfound understanding, we’ve made embedding chatbots a secondary aspect of the feature and added a new sleek UI that makes it much more straightforward to pick and choose which uploads you’d like to chat with.
You can still embed chatbots and customize their internal prompts as before.
📝 Long-Form Writer
Last but most definitely, not least, we added Long-Form writing as a new flagship feature to Outcast in February.
Now you can create blog articles and e-books based on the contents of the videos and audio files you import into Outcast.
How does it work?
Step 1: Enter a few details about the content you’d like to create and select which uploads you’d like to use in writing this content.
Outcast will choose the most appropriate parts for each section of the final content piece from each of these uploads.
Step 2: Outcast will generate an outline for you. Here you can edit, add, and remove specific sections of the final piece. Outcast can even generate new sections for you on-demand!
Step 3: Let Outcast go to work and in a few moments you’ll receive your article to begin making edits as you see fit in the AI Text Editor you know and love. Generated articles can vary in length from 2,000-5,000 words!

Long-Form Writing is Here!
I’m super excited to share that we’re releasing Long-form Writer as a new tool within Outcast. Now you can create comprehensive articles and e-books with your uploaded videos and audio as context. We’re talking about 2,500-5,000 word content pieces!
✨ 3 Simple Steps
1. Fill out a few details: Choose content sources, pick a persona (more on this ⬇️), select SEO keywords, choose a language, and write a prompt so Outcast can understand your content goal.
2. Outcast will generate an outline for your content piece. Add, update, or delete chapters and sections to edit your new piece at a high level.
3. Once finalized, Outcast will write your content and present it within our AI text editor. This is the time for you to make any changes to finalize your piece like adding AI images or changing the tone of certain parts to make them match your voice.
